A standard set of tests and questionnaires that we use in paper & pencil format or online in the OnTarget expert system enables companies to assess applicants for many different positions regardless of the specific nature of the companys business. At the same time, companies often need to assess candidates on a certain number of special occupational abilities. In such situations, we may offer to design special tests taking into account the specific nature of the companys business.
The fee for designing a test is based on the number of paid consulting days (1 consulting day € 1500). Designing ability tests for any level of applicant comprises the following stages:
- Job analysis. Required information for designing test questions (type of data the applicant will deal with, type of calculations he/she will have to make, required speed and accuracy of work, typical errors etc.) is gathered at this stage. Job analysis takes 0.5 - 4 consulting days depending on the number of interviews and the amount of documentation analyzed.
- Designing test tasks. At this stage, OnTarget consultants will design test questions and answers to them (2 - 4 consulting days).
- Pilot testing. The effectiveness of the test is verified using a relevant sample (company employees) (0.5 - 1 consulting day).
- Tasks modification. At this stage, OnTarget consultants will analyze the results of pilot testing and modify the tasks if necessary (1 - 2 consulting days).
- Gathering of norms. To obtain a “norm group” (group of people whose results will be compared with the applicants results) testing will be organized on a relevant sample. OnTarget consultants will process the results (0.5 - 1 consulting day).
- Preparation of final version (0.5 - 1 consulting day).
- Design of test tasks for randomized version (if necessary). At this stage, OnTarget consultants will design additional test questions that will be included in the electronic version of the test (1 - 3 consulting days).
